Amazon Kindle

I got my Kindle yesterday and I’ve started reading my first book on it (Michael Crichton’s Airframe). So far I’m really impressed with the display, it’s higher resolution than I expected, and actually looks a lot like paper.

Amazon’s Kindle store with their Whispernet network service (essentially Sprint EVDO) works really well too. I was able to first download a preview of the book (a couple chapters), which showed up in my home screen immediately. After finishing the preview I purchased the book, there was almost no delay there either, and the book was immediately available on my home screen.

Pretty awesome! Check out more info here and here.
